Our Sponsor The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), will offer two prizes for the best posters chosen from those submitted and presented by pre-doctoral students or early-stage researchers (holding a PhD for 3 years or less, counting from the Conference last day), consisting of: a certificate, one electronic subscription to the journal Food & Function, and a £100 book voucher for use in the RSC book shop. Prizes will be attributed by a Jury from the Scientific Committee, upon evaluation of the posters during the Poster Sessions at the Conference.
Authors of selected communications (oral or posters) presented at DOF2019 will be invited to submit an article for publication in an online themed collection of Food & Function.
Submitted articles will be considered for publication as original research papers (i.e. full papers, urgent Communications or Technical notes) or review articles (Perspective, Critical review or Tutorial review).
The submission deadline is 31st October 2019.
Manuscripts should be submitted after the meeting via the Food & Function submission website https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/food.
Submitted manuscripts should be in the format laid out in the “Instructions to Authors" available on the website (www.rsc.li/food-function).
Accepted papers will be published on the RSC website as Advance Articles "as soon as they are ready and published in the next available electronic issue of the journal. All accepted papers will be gathered together in an online web collection on the Food & Function webpage, which will be made free to access for a period of 4 weeks once complete. There will not be a printed version of the issue.
Each manuscript deemed suitable for consideration as a submission will be reviewed by at least two referees, whose names are not disclosed to the authors. Papers will only be accepted if they conform to the normal high standards and scope required for publication in the journal.
